As most of you know, a signficant portion of my time is dedicated to letting people know the problems caused by vaccines. Since April, I have watched the preparations for mass vaccination with this year's "Swine Flu" vaccine. For the first time in nearly 10 years of vaccine activism, I am truly concerned about what is planned for the unaware public over the next few months.

This issue of our newsletter -- and the next several -- will get you the lastest information on what is being planned and what you need to do to protect your health and your family's health. Not only from Swine Flu, but from the swine flu vaccine which is a much more serious concern than a bout of the flu.

They're After Everyone

They are after us all. A pandemic flu mass campaign is being planned that has not been seen since the polio epidemics of the 1950s.The federal government has ordered nearly 600 million doses of vaccine. And  if the current production by five companies goes as planned, the mass vaccination will start in September. More vaccine will arrive later in the fall, enough to vaccinate us all.

Those were among the messages administration officials delivered to about 500 state, territorial, city and tribal health officials at a "flu summit" at the National Institutes of Health's Bethesda campus.

Children, pregnant women, adults with chronic illnesses, and health-care workers would probably be put first in line for the vaccine, Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius told the gathering. Read full article here.

We're all in this together. Concern beyond our own families is important and we get the community (and the world) we deserve. We can create what we want, but we have to become actively involved. If your neighbors develop long term disability from the flu shot, it effects you and ultimately, the entire country.

Here is a 2-page pdf file you can print Included are suggestions of what to do and how to get in involved. This is not an all-inclusive list! Be creative; what else can you do? A grass roots awakening is critically important, now more than ever. If every person tells just 3 people, we will make a difference!

Time is of the essence. We have about 5 weeks to get this done. As stated years ago by Margaret Mead, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

UPDATE!! According to Merck representatives, the company plans to resume production of the separate M-M-R component vaccines. They anticipate these becoming available in 2011 (no actual month specified).

Massive Merck Write-In Campaign to Resume Making Individual Measles, Mumps and Rubella Vaccines

Merck is receiving hundreds of phone calls from concerned parents who question the vaccine makers recent decision to stop making the individual (monovalent) measles, mumps and rubella vaccines. Lets really get their attention. Starting today, join us in a focused campaign to send to Merck a strong message from parents across the country and all over the world. Below youll find a sample letter (please replace contact info with your own) which outlines our key reasons why Merck must resume manufacturing the monovalent vaccines. Please open the word file, type in your name, address, add the date and print it out. You can use this letter as-is or edit any part of it. Be sure to sign it, too.

If you have time, please complete steps #1 through 4:

  1. Send the letter to: Mr. Richard T. Clark, CEO, Merck & Company, One Merck Drive, PO Box 100, Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889-0100
  2. Fax the same letter to 908-735-1244 (back up fax 908-735-1500 or 215-993-1220)
  3. E-mail the same letter to Richard_clark@merck.com and copy vaxRSVP@verizon.net. Make sure the newly saved word document contains your name, address and date.
  4. Call them and deliver the message in person: 908-423-1000 and ask for the office of the CEO (back up number (800) 672-6372, press 2, then press 3)

Make the contact with Merck and well report back to let you know what were hearing. We also know that parents are searching high and low, traveling the globe and spending thousands of dollars to locate the individual vaccines. Send your Finding M, M and R stories to vaxRSVP@verizon.net.

Just over a year ago in Maryland, parents and children were rounded up in the gym, and told to get vaccinated or go to jail. Yes, it's true- read about it on our blog.

WHAT CAN NEW JERSEY PARENTS DO?

Call every member of NJ's Senate and Assembly Health Committees & a few other key players, telling them you want bill A260/S1071, the CONSCIENTIOUS EXEMPTION from STATE-MANDATED VACCINES urgently passed into law!

MAKE THESE CALLS RELENTLESSLY! Go down the list EVERY DAY, SEVERAL TIMES a day if you can.

NO ONE ELSE CAN DO THIS FOR YOU OR YOUR CHILDREN! TIME IS UP! Our rights to preside over the well-being of our own children is eroding from under our feet! DONT ALLOW IT! ACT NOW!

Talking Points:

  1. The right to make decisions for your child should be yours! You are very unhappy that the government has stepped in, trumping parental rights!
  2. As the only jurisdiction to mandate a flu shot, NJ needs Vaccination Choice more urgently than any of the 19 other states that have it already.
  3. You have lost faith in NJ's Health Department to act in the best interest of your children.
  4. You will NOT vote for someone unless they support Assembly bill A260 or Senate Bill S1071. Tell them you want them to support the bill as vigorously as they can, by becoming sponsors if they arent and lobbying colleagues to join us as well.
  5. When are they up for re-election?
  6. Use any of the NJ Coalition for Vaccination Choices Top Ten Reasons from our website.

LET'S JAM THEIR PHONE LINES UNTIL THEY CRY UNCLE! In the past, NJ bills have passed in a matter of weeks, and we already have broad, bi-partisan support.

Under the provisions of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986, no vaccine maker can be held liable in a civil suit for damages resulting from the administration of a vaccine, FOR FAILING TO WARN YOU OF THE POTENTIAL HARM. THERE IS NO ONE TO HOLD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE SUFFERING AND OR DYING FROM AN ADVERSE REACTION TO A VACCINE. THE PARENT/ GUARDIAN ASSUMES ALL RISKS!
